Seasonal Eats at Jack's Cafe

As a chef, I love thinking outside of the box, never more so during the winter months when we turn to tropical climates for much of our fresh produce. Florida citrus is filled with hard working vitamin C, California avocados provide those healthy fats and add great texture to our toasts and salads. A few of our local Wisconsin gems include Grade A maple syrup, a wonderful alternative to processed sugar and just as satisfyingly sweet. Our delicious bread choices from Troubadour bakery which boast fresh ingredients without any processed crap. Plus, Sartori Cheese made in Plymouth, Wisconsin because we really can’t live without cheese. The merlot is a fav.

With all this in mind, we’ve worked hard to create a new menu that’s interesting, healthy and most of all delicious. For breakfast try the new brûléed grapefruit yogurt bowl sprinkled with Kenosha's own Scott’s Homemade Granola. You’ll love the crunch paired with bright flavor and beautiful colors. Trying to keep warm during these chilly winter mornings? We’ve jazzed up our everyday steel cut oats to include peanut butter, strawberry puree, banana slices and chia seeds.

Our Rainbow Bowl is perfect for any time of the day and is being served 8am - 2pm. Filled with a rainbow of veggies, quinoa, feta and topped with a fried egg. It packs a flavor punch, fills you up and gives you all those nutrients your body craves. A personal favorite for lunch is our brand new Moroccan Grain Bowl with roasted chickpeas, carrots, chicken, quinoa and a few secret ingredients that make it one of the best!

Our tastes change with the seasons and we strive to reflect those changes in our seasonal menus. Do you always have a taste for a tuna melt with a side of chocolate malt? Don’t worry, we’ll never change that.

Can’t wait to see you all in this new year!
